Crispy pan-fried turnip cakes were as good as always with their sweet & spicy dipping sauce.
I can't get enough of that Homestyle Egg Drop Soup, with its buttery sweet, savory, rich broth loaded with some kind of egg souffle-omelette-thingy, glass noodles, green veggies, bamboo shoots and shiitakes. So good.
The crispy shrimp with spiced salt were a new surprise. Hot, fresh, delicate, crispy, so flavorful. Really good stuff.
And finally, the pork with dried bean curd and chives, another favorite. Delicate and spicy, super fresh flavors all around.
So, what else is great here? I think I ooohhh'd and aaahhh'd at about every other dish coming out of the kitchen. I noticed:
* a sichuan looking stir fry loaded with cubed meat of some sort, peppers and chilis (maybe kung pao?)
* a plate of what looked like about a half-dozen fist-sized meatballs glazed with some kind of dark sauce (are these lions-head meatballs?)and
* another big bowl of soup loaded with noodles, sprouts, and other assorted veggies.
