This restaurant is always a pleasant place to dine and celebrate. This Christmas Eve--festive--formal dining--no slacking off on account of a booked restaurant. The musicians make the venue an event. Everyone seemed to be celebrating--for Christmas, Hannukah, Kwanza--(hope I got the spelling correct).
OUr entrees were wonderful--the salads/onion rings//crab Imperial//Succulent veal chop-- all standard offerings at a consistently very good Baltimore restaurant. The restaurant has "stuck by it's guns" and hasn't deviated into anything trendy. I suppose that persons of my age group appreciate the time-tested standards of very well prepared/portioned offerings.
That's not to say that I don't enjoy venturing into new horizons of restaurants/menus, etc.
I'm an adverturesome (within certain ares) ) diner. Baltimore is fairly conservative, based on my years ago travels. But--nothing compares to home and/our hometown favorites. I have many. And, tonight was a treat to dine in a festive atmosphere, great service--the music was fantastic.
Hope all of you Chowhounds celebrate a dining experience this Holiday Season. I always enjoy reading your comments, suggestions, recommendations, warnings, etc. It's a celebrated exchange of thoughts and ideas and opinoins, which are quite fun to read and respond to.
Happy Holidays and dining. FoiGras
