Great Greek pitas (albeit frozen) in Sunrise

The A-1 Grocery, a pretty large Indo-Pak grocery with a decent selection of Arab groceries too, carries some interesting stuff you don't see in smaller such places: cans of bright green Pakistani "ice cream"-flavored soda (indeed, it does taste sort of like a traditional kulfi), f'rinstance.. but that's beside the point.

If you're looking for some great Greek-style (soft, crustless, pocketless) pitas ideal for gyros and dips, they sell Mediterranean brand ones, made in Long Island City and used all over Astoria. Heat 'em up until they char a bit and serve warm. They're Good Stuff, perfect for tzatziki, gyros, skordalia and the like, and quite different from the fresh (and also heavenly) pocket pitas baked at the other end of the same strip mall at the Pita Pan.

Both in the strip mall on NW 44th a few hundred yards east of Pine Island.
