Great experience at Tangra Wok

I was in Queens last week visiting my family and DH & I went to Tangra Wok on Queens Blvd. in Rego Park for lunch. What a wonderful place! The decor is lovely---tapestry chairs, white linen tablecloths, etc. The service was outstanding---helpful and friendly without intruding on our conversation. But the BEST part was the FOOD---and the price. We each ordered the lunch special ($7.95 for non-vegetarian, a $1 less for vegetarian). It includes a finger-sized spring roll (crisp, not greasy, and very tasty), fried rice (good---again, not greasy), "vegetable of the day" (we were served Kung Pao Cauliflower---and it was AWESOME!), and your choice of entree (from list of 12). DH had the lamb in garlic sauce which was OK. On the menu it had 3 stars, indicating that it was "very spicy", but we found it to have very little heat. I ordered "the winner"---chicken with eggplant. Although misnamed (I found only 2 bite-sized pieces of eggplant in it), the dish was DELICIOUS! There were no stars next to this item on the menu, but it was quite hot---I found about 6 1" pieces of dried chilies in my serving. This is not a complaint!!! It was wonderfully spicy, with plenty of chicken and "other" vegetables---mostly red & green peppers. Everything was very fresh tasting. Sure wish I could go again soon, but sadly, I won't be out that way again until next December! Easy to get to---less than a block from the 63rd Drive subway station (across from Sears, etc.)
