Can I ask a few folks to come back and "fine tune" the topic? I am a chowhound, and also a middle aged nostalgia buff, so-
What "Regional Specialties" of the 1930's to 1980's have all but disappeared from our menus, but linger in our memories?
(To get the ball rolling, Brooklynites talk about how popular "Lime Rickeys" were there in the 1950's. Less so, if at all, in Brooklyn, 2003? Boston had its own version of the Lime Rickey years ago...)
