I'm a little embarrassed to admit this, but I've never been to H Street. Each time a new bar or restaurant is announced I say "Wow that looks cool. I'll have to check it out." But I never do. It partially has to do with the fact that it's a bit of a pain to get to.
But I'm rectifying this situation. And my first stop is going to be to Dr. Granville Moore's for some mussels and frites. I have personally had a strong affinity to the mussels and frites at Brasserie Beck. But I want to check out the competition.
Looking at the menu there seem to be a lot of delicious choices. I'm going with a friend who can probably be convinced to order the blue cheese and pork belly mussels (I want to sample them but not order it for myself. It's too rich and I try to not eat pork that often). So what are the can't miss items? What are your favorite dishes?
