grandma slice in Park Slope - O.M.G.!

Rather than watch my laundry spin, I decided to check out the new pizza joint (I think it's called Pizza on the Park) on 3rd St between 4th and 5th avenues in the Slope. Ordered a reg slice and while I was waiting, I perused the menu...asked about the grandma pie, which I had read about here, just as he was pulling one from the oven. He suddenly got this solemn expression on his face, and said "I guarantee this pie." Asked me if I wanted a slice, I said next time, since my slice was in the oven. Gave me a free half slice, and OH. MY. GOD. I don't think I have ever been so excited about pizza before. It was so good. And so simple!! It's a square pie, but with a thin crust. Good mozz, topped with fresh plum tomatoes and olive oil. Big deal right? Well it is, it's the perfect blend of flavors and the crust is great. By the way, the regular slice I had was fine, but after that grandma slice, I can't judge it fairly because it paled by comparison. Also gotta love the guys passion for his product, and business smarts giving out samples to new customers. Let me know if you love it like I do. YYUUMMMM. I didn't even notice that I burned the entire roof of my mouth, it was so good.
