Go-to Grabs in Hollywood

jesstifer | Dec 27, 201112:42 PM

I've lived in the heart of Hollywood for 20 years, not far from the Chinese Theater. I try to try new stuff, but there are lot of new places recently. So I'm checking to see if I'm missing out on go-to places for the various quick meals I eat most often. Note that we almost always cook dinner at home (my wife's a better cook than most restaurant chefs in the area), so when I'm going out it's mostly to grab a quick lunch, or occasional delivery.

For geographical purposes, let's call it the area bordered by Mulholland, Wilshire, Western, and La Cienega).

Here are mine:

Burritos: Pinche's, Dos Burritos, Los Burritos (Trader Joe's West Hollywood outlet) and *sigh* Chipotle (I'm an SF burrito lover, and they currently come closest). Would love to find better.

Sushi: Shintaro, Noshi (outside my parameters but we usually make the drive.) These I'm pretty happy with.

Sandwiches: Greenblatt's.

Burgers/Dogs: Carney's.

Indian delivery: Gate of India.

Chinese delivery: La Mandarette, Green Tea House. (Would love to find better)

Thai delivery: Pink Pepper (good but slow and expensive), Thai Beer (not as good but cheap and fast).

Pizza delivery: Joe's of Bleecker St., Vito's, Pizza Bella, Raffallo's (Hollywood/LaBrea outlet).

Sushi delivery: (pains me to write the name, but we like it): Soy Sauce Roll N' Bowl.

What am I missing?
