Just got the weekly newsletter from Gourmet, and the main blurb from Ruth Reichl says:
"The big news around here is the new gourmet.com, which launches on January 16. Unlike the current one, this is a stand-alone site and not part of epicurious.com.
We're really exited about this rich and wonderful space, which we will be updating every weekday with the latest news from our correspondents all around the world, information on politics and food science, restaurant reviews, city guides, new videos from our test kitchens, and an archive of essays from Gourmet's past. Also in the works: Our redesigned newsletter, which you will be receiving next week. —Ruth Reichl"
And NO - that's not my typo in the first sentence in the 2nd paragraph - the Gourmet staff really IS "exited" about the rich and wonderful space. :-/ Hopefully, the editing of the new newsletter AND new website is a tad sight better.
I will be very interested to see their new website, as I continue to not like the redesign of epicurious.com.
