My father is a fan of vegetable plates at meat-n-threes for his lunch meal, but it seems anytime he finds a good place with a choice of traditional southern vegetables like greens, corn, butter beans, etc., served up heaping and hot, the place closes. (Starches passed off as "vegetables" such as mac and cheese, baked beans, mashed potatoes and the like need not apply) As a reference, however obscure, a recent favorite of his that just closed down was the Community Restaurant in downtown Seneca;also Dyar's Diner in Pendleton, which is still open but tends to run out of food toward the end of the lunch rush. If anyone out there has a suggestion, we'd love to hear it. Thanks for your help!
