just ordered take out from Bangkok 900 on Stanyan Street. unfortunately what was delivered to us was nothing more than Chinese food somewhat disguised as Thai food. i'm not the biggest fan of Chinese food, and am an avid lover of Thai food. this is not Thai food. we ordered Pad Kee Mow, drunken noodles with chili-basil sauce and pork. the mess that was delivered was inedible. i really hate to waste food and money, but could not eat it. threw everything out. including the 2nd pork dish which we ordered.
can anyone please recommend a great thai food restaurant near Divisadero and Oak Street? there are a few places over here. so far we've only tried Chili Cha Cha thai noodle, which was edible, but also somewhat like Chinese food. and we've also tried Thep Phanom, which was raved about, but also dissapointing. i did have some passable, but not great, pad kee mow, as the Best of Thai Noodles, but still this is another mediocre thai joint.
so far the best thai I've found has been thai house express in the tenderloin and castro. but i was hoping i could also find a closer spot for ease on a rainy day like today.
i really miss sripraphai in queens, ny...
