Although neither of these two Brighton Avenue storefronts is the sort of place that you'd go to for a special occassion celebration, my wife and I find them great mid-week places and keep going back.

Reef, the newer of the two places, is run by two brothers and their mama, who cooks up the nightly specials. Good stuff that we've had includes kibbie, grape leaves, stuffed eggplant and cabbage, as well as both home-made yogurt and rice pudding.

Indian-Dhaba is just down the street and you can stuff yourself silly with some of the better Indian dosas, curries, chats, breads that you can get in the area -- all for well less than $15 a piece.

Both places are run by very nice people and are the sort of funky places that I feel deserve 'hound support.
