I made something really super tasty for dinner last night, and I need to share. Most of my friends don't get "the food thing" so sharing with them is close to useless.
Anyways, I was just throwing things together, and came up with this:
I put a couple of tablespoons of butter in a Dutch oven on low heat, let it melt. Then I added about half a tablespoon of diced fresh lavendar, a pinch or two of salt, the zest of a small lemon, the juice of the same small lemon, and about two tablespoons of honey. I let it swirl together a little while, then turned it up to low-medium heat and added some boneless, skinless chicken breast and thigh meat. I let it cook, covered, until the chicken was done and it was a little brown on the bottom.
This was so amazingly good! Anyways, I don't know anyone else to share my glee with, so I had to post it here.
