Good Russian deli for party snacks

Pssst | Mar 24, 2003 02:02 PM

Hey howdy all,

I'm having a party and serving vodka drinks, I wanted to serve some Russian snacks (tiny cups of borscht; piroskis, salmon on dark bread, some small sweet things, etc). But I'm really busy and have decided to be lazy and to do assembly and reheat only (not make stuff from scratch).

Unfortunately, I'm rusty on my Russian deli knowledge. Does anyone have a favored Russian foodstuff source?

I was planning to go check out the offerings at:
Cinderella - 436 Balboa
Odessa - 5427 Geary
or wander Geary between 14th & 26th

I know Katia's is a restaurant but has anyone ordered food from them?
