Had to share this. There is a new "mediterranean" place on Del Prado in Cape Coral, FL. The chef is originally from Spain. We had dinner there last night with eight others and it was simply wonderful. The restaurant is called Time to Eat. First thing is they were able to handle a table of nine well and easily and made us feel very welcome. The place is very pleasant looking with maybe too much hard surfacing -- it was a bit noisy; but then there were nine very happy people having a good time and we were only totally quiet for the first ten minutes as we started the meals.
I had the fish special; last night it was cod with mashed potatoes. I can't eat any milk products so asked for a substitution and they suggested french fries. No problem substituting in general as everything is made to order. Best fries I have ever had. Best cod I have ever had I think. With nine people we pretty much sampled the entire menu and it was all very, very good. Husband had Ceviche and said it was best he ever had also. For main course he had sea food risotto -- the seafood was superior he says and then adds that he likes but does not love risotto. People loved the wild salmon, lobster bisque, lamb rib lets and the vegetables that came with each plate. Oh, and the bread ! The bread was different and everyone loved it. I honestly think there is not a less than superior meal to be had here and we are so excited to have this in the Cape! Looking forward to more meals here and also to hearing from the locals on Chow as they discover it also.
