Good lunch at Cinderella Russian Bakery & Cafe / SF

gordon wing | Feb 14, 2017 06:01 PM

traditional Russian baked good and dishes in the Inner Richmond district of SF ... a few small tables inside and more outside seating under an awning - enjoyed a blueberry brioche, the beef and cheddar piroshki and a bowl of borscht with some rye bread. the brioche had a good amount of custard and blueberry filling in the center topped with almonds - the piroshki was soft and moist with a savory filling - they offer baked and fried versions - I opted for the fried - a big bowl of red hued borscht with 3 pieces of house made rye bread was piping hot - it was garnished with dill and sour cream. pleasant service at the counter.
