Good Luck Food? Bad Luck Food?

I know that there are many traditions of eating food for luck (moon cakes, black-eyed peas, symbolic cakes, etc.). Does anyone have any personal food superstitions, for good luck or bad? Would love to hear your stories about this.

Against all logic, I have a bad luck food. I find that, whenever I eat pappardelle (long wide pasta ribbons), I proceed to have an appaling time within or immediately after the meal. As a result, I now have an aversion to pappardelle, and never eat it, even though it's quite delicious. This is magical thinking of the first order - but I'm never eating pappardelle again if I can avoid it.
