This is actually getting to be funny - the restaurants that get great reviews seem to bomb when I get there & the "eh, so-so" ones have been a pleasant surprise... wierd karma, but oh well. Loved the buy your bottle at retail next door/no corkage fee concept. We were seated immediately, but just missed a table outside. We were by the door & it really wasn't all that noisy, except we had to yell when ordering. Won't go through it all, but highlights were the lamb chops - small, but there were 4 incredibly delicious chops, scampi in ajo sauce - incredible - loved the thick brown garlicky sauce & ate all the toasty bread it sat on just to get it all, skirt steak marinated in orange juice - very very good & fairly tender for this cut, and flan with perfectly almost burnt caramel sauce. I wasn't as impressed by the eggplant, but my friends liked it; the serrano & machengo was good or better than expected (it will never be iberico, I just need to get over that!), the goat cheese in a honey something was just ok. They seem to do the seafood/meat dishes best & I can't wait to go back with people that eat clams & mussels to check them out. Got me all excited for my trip back to Barcelona in July!
