Where are good things made of Durian?

So I'm no longer a durian virgin and the first time was somewhat of a letdown. Anti-climatic, so to speak.

I had a durian / tapioca 'shake'. I am thinking that real durian puree was involved in the soft-serve type of shake ... with excellent tapioca balls on the bottonm. Nice and chewy.

I was not expecting any 'eau de durian' in a frozen dessert, but gave it a tentative sniff anyway. Nope, no eau.

However there wasn't much taste either. The subtle taste was that of an over-ripe cantelope with a hint of dirty socks, but not objectionally so.

However, this taste is not something that I would brave the legendary aroma of durian for. It is not the deliciousness that I've heard others rave about.

So now that I've tried it, I'm looking for more experience ... better durian.

Other than fresh (I'm not ready yet), what restaurants serve good durian flavored things?

P.S. The durian shake was at Pho 89 in San Pablo. Now the jackfruit / tapioca shake ... that was heaven. I could live on those.
