I'm looking to throw my father a 60th birthday surprise party for a group of 35 or so friends somewhere in Brooklyn, preferably in the Brooklyn Heights, Carroll Gardens area, but as far away as Park Slope is fine. We'd want to have a group there from 2pm to 5:30pm on a Saturday afternoon, and do appetizers standing and entrees seated. Here's the catch: my 95 year-old grandfather can't do stairs or long walks, so it has to be a pretty accessible place once he's dropped off in front by car. (i.e. No upstairs banquet areas.)
I throw myself on the mercy and great wisdom of the experienced diners of New York.
