After a weekly game of basketball with the guys, we went for Chinese food at a neighborhood Manhattan restaurant. I wasn't in the mood for Chinese so I ordered sushi although the lone sushi chef wasn't busy and there didn't seem to be any turnover. My sushi was okay but of course not Nobu caliber. I was teased by the guys that the sushi might not be 'fresh' because of slow turnover in a Chinese restaurant. The sushi turned out fine.
I've noticed this trend lately where more sushi bars appear in Chinese restaurants and I was wondering if any hounds could recommend Chinese restaurants in Manhattan where the sushi bar and the Chinese food are equally good. Thanks.
