Gnocchi variations

I've been having a lot of fun making gnocchi lately and I was wondering if you had your own variation on the humble potato dumpling. I've been considering squash dumplings, sweet potato dumplings... well, basically whatever starch or root vegetable or melon I can get my hands on. Also, any attempts at flavouring the dumpling dough itself and any particularly interesting combos? One last item, like the chinese "soup balls", the rice flour dumplings (which can be filled with sweet bean paste or plain) in sweet soup, any good ideas for dessert "gnocchi"?
