Glover Park food...

rachel | Jun 20, 2003 09:22 AM

Have just moved to the Glover Park area (40th & Benton). Yeah! except for those crazy hills. I am looking for cheap and inexpensive decent food (and sorry, but I do not agree with other critics or magazines that cheap is $50 for 2). Thanks to the last residents, I found delivery menus so last night we ordered from Mr. Chen’s (?) Organic, which as far a greasy cheap Chinese goes, I was happy with it. Nevertheless, if it stops raining I would like to find some places to walk to for dinner/weekend lunch. Walking does not mean a 30 minute hike to the other side of the world either {I think Georgetown is a bit far for a weeknight}. I know that there is a Sutton not far away, but where is my real grocery store?? Can I walk?? I know about Faccia Luna and saw an ad for Rocklands in the Glover Park Gazette. I have searched through this site and have not really found anything posted from anyone that actually lives in or near the area. So, any thoughts would be appreciated.
