This comes to mind because I just noticed a review by Alexandra Gill, based in Vancouver. Whatever happened to the (young?) guy who reviewed restaurants before the lockdown last year? All I remember is that he reviewed Aloette, I think, and he seemed unaware that Lebanon produced wine. (Charles Yu confirmed my suspicion that the writer was referring to a Château Musar.) Well before the lockdown he disappeared - or, I stopped noticing him. I no longer get the print edition, so perhaps that's why. I realise that we're living through extraordinary times, but the G&M seems to have abandoned Toronto reviews pre-lockdown. Feel free to correct me on any of this.
