I am planning on making a turkey meatloaf tonight that I will glaze with a home made BBQ sauce (1 c. ketchup, 2 T. chipotle Tabasco, 2 T. molasses, 3 T. bourbon, a couple dashes of Worcestershire sauce, and spices to taste (powdered chipotle, cayenne, smoked paprika, black pepper, dehydrated onion) . This was all simmered for about 30 minutes.). Normally, to make BF happy, I go with a mustard crust when I do meatloaf (it was his mom's thing). Tonight I am hoping for a change of pace. Normally, I cook a meatloaf at around an hour at 350-375F. Will this BBQ glaze burn if it is in for that long? If so, when is a good time to pull it out, glaze, and finish cooking?
