The kitchen-gadgets-not-used thread made me think of this. I am not a big buyer of kitchen gear once I have what works for me, but I have had my share of "not-so-much" purchases. So: do you give those things that you dislike to your kids, in hope that they might like and use them? Or do you ditch it all and figure you are saving the kids from something that they will hate, too. And if you have passed it on, have you kids loved something that you hated?
And I am aware of the stock in my basement in hopes that my kids will someday stop traveling, and be willing to accrue more cooking items for free from that stock. (If only to find what they think of them.)
What is your experience, parents and grandparents, in the transfer of cooking implements despite those implements not being to your liking?
