First a little context: We Minnesotans are a weird bunch. We humble-brag better than just about anyone. When our state or the city/town in which we live is mentioned by any media, anywhere, in any way that can be construed as positive, we almost bust our seams with pride. Yup. Like I said, we're off our rockers just a titch. So it's not odd that I'd like Molly Yeh's Girl Meets Farm. She tells us she lives on the North Dakota/ Minnesota border as part of the show's opening. So she's roped in every Minnesotan with that smart move.
But I have to say she's a delight and so is the show. I kinda have a girl-crush (in a very wholesome, not at all stalker-y kind of way). She is so enthusiastic. And if I think of others watching this show, I'm going to guess her sweetness and enthusiasm might make some of you want to hurl. More's the pity for your sad, jaded souls.
Her recipes are imaginative and at least the two I've tried, work. I love that she doesn't use a lot of gadgets. I like that she combines her Jewish and Chinese heritage with Midwestern twists (cookie salad, anyone?) I truly dig this show.
