My travels took me (home) to Bedford today and I stopped by Ginger Cuisine. All in all I was relatively impressed and would certainly stop in for another try. PS - I ordered defensively, as I always do at a new Sushi place...
Salmon Nigiri was decent, fresh fish, not so generously cut as some of my favorite places, but decent quality fish. The price at 5.25 was a little steep - but I guess rents in Bedford Center are targeted towards those that can afford to live there.
I also tried a few makis - the best was a variation of spicy yellowtail maki with tempura bits and spicy sauce. It was wrapped in an edible (I hope) pink soy wrapper. Visually it was quite nice, but I like the flavor that good nori adds.
I also tried a California Roll with Eel on top, called Black Dragon or some such thing. It was pretty good. Another roll, with Scallop and Spicy mayo was a little much, there was a lot of Mayo - I mean like tons of the stuff, glopped on and then HEATED... not my bag.
In general, if you find yourself in Bedford it is a good option. I would give it a solid B, not as good certainly as any of the big four (Oishii, Ginza, Oga, and Fugakyu) but better sushi (by far) than a place like Jae's or similar.
