I know I have already partaken greatly of the generoisity of this board, so I hate to come back for more. But planning a trip to LA is gosh darn hard--so much!
My wife is pushing for a trip to the Getty. I am reluctant because I feel it would kill too much time that can be otherwise spent seeing and doing things in LA that are not available in Chicago.
I read the thread from June on eating in/near the Getty, and I cannot say it strengthened the case for Ms. VI. Can anyone else give me the pro's and cons regarding a trip to the Getty.
Let me add, that our "tourable" time runs from about noon on Friday until about 3 on Sunday. Me, I am very keen on exploring downtown, including the modern art museum, thank you very much MC Michael for the itineary, and Pasadena/Gamble House. I also was figuring on driving from Pasadena to San Gambriel for not in Chicago, fantastic Islamic Chinese food. How does that all fit in with the Getty?
