I've been looking for "German food " around bay area
for so long and finally discoverd today and got excited.
"Schnitzelhaus" West Water Ave.
They've been there for almost 10 years but I never expected.
Anyway, place was kind'a strange. because No windows
whole place and look like a starage room. ( pretty big place )but, interior turned out well
Owner chef prepare everything himself. Homemade Bratwurst, sauerkraut, bread and dessart.
Two of us went to yesterday lunch and tried almost everything. Goulash soup ( spicy beef soup ),Leberknodelsuppe ( Liver meat ball soup)
Traditional German potato pancake, that was excellent.
we had 3 kind of bratwurst ( all very good )
Sauerkraut was suprised. I never had good one but
it was so good. Very tasty.
My favorite "Holstein schnitzel"
(Wiener schnitzel with fried egg and anchovies)
We ate all and some more dessert.
German famous "Black Forest cake" Oh my god !!
Tear in my eyes. and another famous "Apple strudel"
I can eat all day long ........
A lot of German Beer selections.
Feel like " I'm in October fest "
