Gerlach's Grille - mini review

Thought I would tell all about this place in Pasadena, for those looking for some great, cheap take-out. It's located next to Gerlach's Liquor, attached with a take-out window. I ordered the lamb kabob, and got the lunch price on a Sunday afternoon. There were 7 big chunks of tender lamb, grilled to pinkness on the inside (not overcooked). This lunch also came with a chopped salad that was fresh and dressed with a dill vinaigrette. The kabob came on saffron rice with sides of humous (a creamy version that tasted like pure garbanzos) that had a spicy paprika sprinkled on it, tsitsiki (sp), a broiled tomato and broiled chile pepper, plus pita. Cost with tax: $8. And it was easily enough for 2 meals for me. This place also has other kinds of kabobs, grilled fish, sandwiches, and burgers. On the corner of Fair Oaks and Glenarm.
