Gerlach's Grill just got even more interesting

Earlier I and others have touted the brilliance of this hole-in-the-wall specializing in fresh fish, and a fusion of Mexican & Lebanese. For example, the scallop burrito (with cucmber sauce) is one of the great meals I've ever had. You can get a lamb tacos, or falafel, or any of about 6 types of fresh fish. Or asada or pollo.

Now, the veggie burrito. I had no idea what to expect, and wow. Pinto beans, saffron-esque rice, a spicy tomato sauce, onions, and --- get this --- chow mein vegetables (sprouts, cabbage, etc.)! Where did that come from?!? Side of saffron rice and greek salad. An outstanding combination of flavors. $5.95.

So call it Mexican-Lebanese-Chinese with a twist. Or something. Whatever. Call it the funkiest best food in town.

Fair Oaks & Glenarm.
