I haven't seen any posts on Lupulo. It is located on 29th and 6th. It seems even that neighborhood is getting hot. The room is quite nice, with a huge counter to eat at , as well as many tables. The place smells like wood and/or charcoal burning, I guess because they are burning quite a bit of it. Many of the dishes offered are charcoal grilled. Actually they could use a better vent system.
The food is fantastic. if you close your eyes and taste the sardines, it will bring you back to Portugal. These sardines are fantastic. Grilled with a touch of salt.
The red shrimp from Spain , with heads on and charcoal grilled are sweet and flavored perfectly , for another amazing dish.
The chicken liver pate, had a good taste but it was a bit dry to me. I prefer a smoother pate.
The grilled lamb was cooked to perfection, seasoned exactly right. A great dish.
I noticed people enjoying the bacalao dish served in a pot with egg, potato , and not sure what else ( see menu pages). It looked great.
Also the octopus dish looked quite good. I was told the octopus was tender and flavorful.
There are lots of dishes to try, I will surely be back. I need to get some more of their cucumber gelato/sorbet.
Has anyone else been there? I'd like to hear your comments. If you go early, there is not problem getting a seat. If you go after 8, forgettaboutit
