Had a wonderful time at Geoffrey's last night. Showed up late (9:45) & it was a cool night in Malibu...perfect setting for a table by the garden fire.
Started with corn chowder (excellent but needs more whole corn kernels), moved on to the crab cakes (excellent). We then had the scallops with risotto & pomegranite reduction (excellent) and the linguine with saffron & sun dried tomatoes (almost excellent). Finished with warm apple tart/caramel sauce/vanilla bean ice cream (excellent). 2 bolttles of their only viogner (nice) complemented the entire meal.
Service started out fair, but got increasingly better throughout the evening...they even let us hang out & enjoy the full moon (& wine) until 11:00.
Overall a top-notch dining experience (as it should be for $200+)
I highly recommend Geoffrey's for a late dinner on any nice evening...let the crowd subside and have the patio to your own.
