GE cafe induction cooktop: semi emergency decision

mountaincachers | May 20, 201504:38 PM

We have a 30 inch GE electric glass cooktop in our kitchen. Something got dropped on the corner and shattered it, so we're looking to replace. Induction seems appealing to me and we started looking at different brands/models. We had decided on either the Wolf or Bosch, BUT it turns out that not all 30 inch cooktops are the same size or require the same size hole in the countertop (Grrrrrr....). Those models are too big for the current hole in the granite. It is unappealing to me to have someone try to cut away the granite and even less appealing to think about replacing the granite. So, I decided to look at the GE site, and their induction cooktop is the correct size (thank goodness for small favors that at least they decided to be consistent in their own sizing even if it doesn't match anyone else). Anyone have any experience with this cooktop?
