Gayot's 10 Best Chinese Restaurants in LA

Chandavkl | Dec 23, 201408:48 PM     4

Yeah, I dislike Top 10 lists as much as the rest of you, but there's still sort of a train wreck type of fascination for me. Gayot's list is interesting (puzzling?) in that 9 of the 10 are in the San Gabriel Valley (so they're talking authentic stuff), but some are restaurants that haven't made anybody else's Top 10 list. There is no ranking, just an alphabetical listing. Chang's Garden (Arcadia), China Islamic, Din Tai Fung, JTYH, Joss, Lake Spring (aren't they 20 years late?), Luscious Dumplings, Phoenix Inn, Savoy and Sea Harbour. Eclectic if nothing else.
