I finally got around to trying the Szechwan restaurant Fu Shing in eastern Pasadena. I ordered the tea smoked duck, while my father had kung pao chicken. The intense smokiness of the duck skin delighted at least two of my senses. Father said that the kung pao chicken was more ordinary than he expected, but good nevertheless. We finished with three dessert items: green tea ice cream, sweet potato cake, and sweet bean bun.
This restaurant has been around for a long time, and I have no idea whether it has gotten better or worse over the years, but I will definitely be returning.
