I dare to challenge anyone else who can find a place that offers more value than this place. And it's pretty good. Although I dare not say it's better than Yank Sing but it's quite decent and offer good varieties.
Four of us went to this place again today for lunch and ate ourselves silly. On the weekdays, the dim sums are on special prices. We ordered without restraints this time.
The specials dim sum were unbelievably low priced at $3.90 I had the jellyfish with thin slices of marinated beef. There were dishes of clams, salt pepper shrimps, mango pudding, etc - all for only $3.90 per dish. Unbelievable !!
The jook is excellent as usual.
I ordered the usual things shu mai and other dumplings. These dumplings type dishes were not particularly the strength of the restaurant but still decent. Their ca siu pau (white buns filled with bbq pork) is good. Most of these are only $1.50 per dish.
Then I ordered another special dim sum which is the small claypot rice with chicken, mushroom and small piece of lap chong (chinese sausage). It's good although I like it to be warmer- it arrived a bit cold. We had two of these. No one could finish this. Should have saved it for next time.
The bill came to about $40.00 including tips. It would have been around $30.00 for the four of us had I not order the claypot rice.
