Whole, frozen anchovies

I bought a bag of frozen anchovies (product of Portugal) at the grocery store. I haven't opened it yet, but they look untouched (ie. heads intact, scales, no incisions of any kind). Do I need to do anything to prep them? Also, any suggestions on what I should do with them?
