Fresh Taro Leaves in Queens for Hawai'ian Lau Lau?

ZenFoodist | Jul 5, 2011 07:24 AM

Ciao 'Hounds ;)

Back from 2 glorious weeks in Hawai'i and am already craving Lau Lau....fresh taro leaves stuffed with pork and butter fish and steamed for 10 plus hours...a hawai'ian tamale if you will....much better use of taro than for poi in my humble opinion... the taro leaves taste just like artichoke hearts when done. Oh My.

Any clue if I can get fresh taro leaves in Queens?

Many Thanks,
lisa
