Hello all -
Excuse the interruption. C&D Family Farms regularly sells fresh meats (chicken, pork, beef and some turkey) and FARM FRESH eggs on Thursdays in Andersonville. It is the same farm that sells meats and eggs during the farmer's market on Berwyn, but they still come into the city during the winter months.
LOCATION: On Ashland at Berwyn, look for a white van in front of the Church. If Crystal is not helping a customer, she is probably just waiting for you to approach the van. She will be there from 4 PM to 7 PM.
I'm bringing this to your attention today because they have a huge feed and butcher bill to pay this week, so they would like to move as much product as possible.
I can personally recommend her eggs - delicious, bright yellowish-orange yolks that stand up - which will last 1 year in the fridge. Yes, that's right, 1 year. They are fresh, not like the grocery store eggs. They are a bit pricey, but I feel it's worth every penny.
I have also purchased ground beef, ground turkey, boneless skinless chicken breasts. All of which have been phenominal. Yes, the prices for meat are a bit more than the grocery store, but IMHO not more than Whole Foods. And the quality is really exceptional.
She will have for sale: various Chicken items, some Bison steaks, some ground Lamb, various Beef items, lots of Pork items.
If you are interested, or would like more information, please reply to this chain and I can post more info. I would like to keep this original post shorter if no one really cares.
