Fresh Durian Sighting

nooodles | Jun 7, 200610:51 PM

Co-opportunity market on Broadway/15th has fresh durian from Malibu, CA. I don't know if it's grown there or packed there, but boy is it good.

It's in the produce aisle in a short black refrigerator to protect customers from the odor. $16/lb is pricey, about three chunks, but it really is some of the best durian I've had in the states. Perfectly ripe, soft, creamy, and stinky.
