This place has been in Pacifica for 13 years. I've been living here lots longer than that I never knew it existed until last week. I was browsing through the local newspaper and saw their ad.
If you check out the web site, it lists commercial sales only. But they are open to the public weekdays 8am - 5. You can purchase in reasonable quantities and at very reasonable prices for the quality.
All of their products are frozen and vacuum sealed. Most just require thawing and serving, but a couple of items, like the warm chocolate cake and whole fruit tarts, need to be baked.
I tried the Macarons and Crèmes Brulées. Both delicious.
The Macarons come 36 to a package with six different flavors for $20. There is not as wide a selection like at the boutique stores (Paulette, La Boulange) but all six flavors were interesting and delicious.
The Crèmes Brulées were six servings to a package for $10 (three different flavors). They come in thin chocolate cups. You could thaw, and then sugar and torch the tops, but we couldn't resist just eating them as they are after thawing.
French Patisserie is located in an industrial area of Pacifica on the frontage road that runs along the west side of Highway 1. There is no retail store front. They have a small parking lot. You enter through their office. They have a price list and will show you to a freezer where you can select from the available items.
Most items are in quantities of 3 or 6, Macarons are 36 to a package. Prices per package are in the $10 - $20 range. They accept cards.
