So my husband grew butternut squash and when they were ripe, threw them whole into the freezer (I know. Better to clean/chop them first but we were getting ready to move and it didn't work out that way) I defrosted in the fridge and now I'm making a giant pot of butternut squash puree.
My question is, once it's cooked and pureed (I'm just going to use a bit of water or veg stock to puree) can I refreeze some of the puree to use at a different time? Or can I not freeze it since it was previously frozen? Thanks for your help!!
