Heading to Freeport mid-February for some R & R (use that term guardedly since I will be with two teenagers.) From what I'm reading on the board, it's best to bring at least some food from the States. We'd like to eat dinners, and perhaps a few lunches somewhere other than pool-side. Any recommendations of where to go, (or where to avoid) for meals would be much appreciated. Anything from casual stands to formal dining.
Also, what are people's favorite food items to pack with them when headed to the islands via airplane? I'm thinking salamies, hard cheeses, crackers, dried fruits/nuts and fruit juice concentrates will go far. What else? Can I bring wine/spirits too? Thanks!
