Freemans is pretty darn good

I avoided Freemans for a while due to the hipster hype the place received and didn't really like the attitude I received when I asked what it was when the place first opened a year and 1/2 ago. Since I got over that summer's day after boozing at Lauralee, I decided to head over to Freemans last night.

Their drinks are absolutley amazing, I had the dark and stormy, a rum based drink with ginger beer, Verlaine also has a version of this. We all shared the artichoke and cheese dip. I normally love this wherever I go, but Freeman's version had a great cheese crust on top and was really cooked to perfection, the 3 of us couldn't get enough of it! I then ordered the mac and cheese and finished off with the bannas foster. Both were delicious, really no complaints. My sister commented "that doesn't even taste like mac and cheese - it's awesome!" Which it was. The breadcrums mixed in really added to the cheese and the pasta was cooked really well. My sister and her friend had the trout; although they got a little freaked out with the heads still attached, each throughly enjoyed their meals.

Deserts were great, the Bannas foster was to die for and the brownie sunday was great on a gold day - all in all I can't wait to go back and try other things on the menu.
