Going with the family (4 of us). We fly into Paris on turkey day AM. Planning to drive to Burgundy, spend Thurs, Fri, Sat in Beaune, possibly for a trip to Dijon. Sun AM drive back to Paris, return the rental, and spend the day with Musee d'orsay, La Regalade, and perhaps some shopping. So the questions...:
-Any suggestions on what to do before our 2:30pm flight back to the US on Monday? I was figuring to do a croissant hunt, perhaps a light, early lunch (11:30am possible), before scurrying to get to the airport by 1pm (is this all too much?)
-I'm currently sifting through previous Burgundy posts, but if you have been touring during this timeframe, perhaps you would suggest a trip instead to the Loire valley or Champagne? Is Burgundy truly a good idea (the idea came about as I have a few connections to the wine trade, but it seems that weekend is bad for tours, special treatment, and the like...)?
-We'll have a car for the pre-paris portion of the trip, so out-of-the way recomendations are the most desired.
In any case, thank you in advance for any answers or suggestions you may have!
