Well, Liz and Louise are right -- LFC is one of the very best mid-range (i.e., $12-18 entree) places in town. Had an absolutely delightful dinner there last night. A variety of delicious entrees (esp. the tuna and the pork-chop special) and salads, and a couple of good desserts. And a very reasonably priced bottle of a good, interesting California Syrah (sorry, forgot the label). I tried the much-touted duck/cherries/mascarpone risotto (not a typo). I thought it was very good, and much more successful than one could imagine; but, like all but the best risottos, it would have been better as a small, appetizer-sized portion.

Also, the crowds appear to be diminishing several months after the Washington Post rave, and the improvement in the kitchen's capacity to cope is apparent. The place was a very quiet and relaxing respite right in the heart of the chaos that is Adams Morgan on a beautiful Saturday night.
