Food staff touching the rim of your glass/cup?

seefoo | Jul 23, 202109:16 AM     16

it doesnt derail my day by any means. but ever since my late teens, when i took a food handling course i immediately notice it when someone handles my drinking vessel by the lip. i cannot recall anyone ever handing me a spoon or fork by holding the business end of the implement. to-go coffee cups, i get it. they handle the lid anyways.

i've never made a comment, but i notice and i immediately factor it into their tip (i'm joking here). as i got older, it has become simply something i notice and wonder about. unless they are the cashier handling money. one time the donut-lady stepped away from this giant pile of coins she was putting into paper tubes (i assume for the bank) when she handled my coffee cup without visiting the sink first. i just turned and walked away. no way i eat a donut from there.

thoughts? i know i am overthinking this. but hey, its me.
