Was in NO by myself last week, and here's what I ate:
Lunch, July 24 - Crabby Jack's - Soft Shell Crab Po Boy, Barq's Root Beer - Wanted a real beer, not available here. Overall, good, but not great.
Dinner, July 24 - Copeland's on Clearview - Crawfish Bread, two Abita Springs drafts. Good, not great.
Lunch, July 25 - Liuzza's By The Track - Cup of Gumbo, the best I've ever tasted - Roast Beef Po Boy, at least equal to the best I've ever had - two Abita Springs drafts, coffee. Service was impeccable, total bill only ~$15. Terrific!!!
Dinner, July 25 - Mandina's - Soft Shell Crab Almandine, good bottle of Pinot Grigio. Neighborhood restaurant, service very old New Orleans. Very good, reasonable price, recommend.
Lunch, July 26 - Sal's in Boutte - Red Beans & Rice with Fried Catfish, one Abita Springs beer. Recommend.
Dinner, July 26 - Tony Messina's - Seafood stuffed Portobello on Pasta, bottle of Pinot Grigio. OK, but overpriced. Overall very pleasant, look forward again.
